The former Albanian ambassador to Kosovo, Qemal Minxhozi, has reacted to the news of the passing of academic Rexhep Qosja, describing him as one of the most important figures of the Albanian nation.
In his message, Minxhozi expressed his grief over the loss, saying: "With deep pain I learned the news of the passing of Academician Rexhep Qosja, the last renaissance man of the Albanian Nation."
Meanwhile, the deceased's family members have announced that the funeral ceremony was held in Pristina, only in the presence of the close family circle. According to them, in accordance with the academic's own wishes, no family receptions will be organized and there will be no participation in institutional activities for homage or condolences.
The passing of Rexhep Qosja has brought a wave of reactions from public, academic, and political figures throughout Albania, who have praised his extraordinary contribution to Albanian literature, history, and critical thought.
