Karamuço: Here's how much it costs to get a cell phone and a transfer from prison

Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço spoke this Tuesday on the Now show with moderator Erla Mëhilli about the state of prisons in Albania.
Karamuço has provided details about a corruption scheme that, according to him, based on official documents, occurs in Albanian prisons.
"How much does a cell phone cost to own inside prison, which ranges from 2 to 4 thousand euros. And the transfer. Even the 'honor' in quotes that can be done even from the transit where you are detained, where after the trial to return directly they ask for money again and take 500 euros.
A senior official who was serving time in detention had paid the lek two or three times. And his wife picks me up and says:
"'Hey sir, how are we going to deal with this story?' I took the General Directorate to implement it properly. The continuous letters demand a different reality. There is a huge corruption scheme in the penitentiary system," said Karamuço.
