Former BKH head takes on important position in State Police

Former head of the National Bureau of Investigation, Aida Hajnaj, has taken on an important position in the State Police. Hajnaj has been appointed head of the Department of Information Technology in the State Police. The decision was made by the Minister of Interior, Besfort Lamallari.

According to the law on the State Police, Hajnaj should have been reinstated to the same position she had previously held. Her failure to reinstate her by the former director of the State Police, Ilir Proda, led to the case being referred to the Administrative Court. The court's decision led to the cancellation of the competition for the leadership of departments in the State Police.

We recall that Hajnaj's mandate as head of the National Bureau of Investigation ended on August 31, 2025, and then, in September, the KLP relieved her of her duties. Before becoming director of the BKH, she held the position of Deputy Director General of the State Police.
