Two Albanians arrested for supplying drugs to the Italian market

Two Albanian citizens, aged 34 and 63, have been arrested by police in Italy, suspected of being part of a drug distribution network supplying the local market.
According to foreign media, investigations conducted last month uncovered a well-organized criminal activity. During surveillance operations in the coastal area of Pegli , the 34-year-old was seen riding a scooter towards a building, from where he then emerged with a bag hidden in the trunk.
The police intervention occurred after he returned to the same apartment. During the physical search, 2,530 euros in cash and several sets of apartment and vehicle keys were found on him.
Officers then searched the apartment he had entered, where a 63-year-old man initially denied any connection to him. However, with the help of drug sniffer dogs, they discovered about 1 kilogram of hashish and 20 grams of cocaine hidden in the kitchen.
The searches continued at the 34-year-old's apartment, where 42,000 euros and a digital signal detector were seized. Investigators expanded the operation to the Marassi area , where after searching several vehicles, a total of 1.5 kilograms of cocaine and packaging materials were found, hidden in seats and luggage.
One of the keys the young man was carrying opened a second apartment, where police discovered two precision scales used to prepare doses.
In total, the authorities seized over 2 kilograms of narcotics and tens of thousands of euros. The two arrested were sent to the Marassi prison and are at the disposal of the Italian prosecution, while investigations to fully uncover the network continue.
