'o3-pro''/ OpenAI launches its most powerful model

OpenAI has launched the "o3-pro" model, an artificial intelligence model that the company describes as its most powerful yet.

O3-pro is a version of OpenAI's o3, a reasoning-capable model that the company introduced earlier this year.

Unlike traditional artificial intelligence models, reasoning models work through problems step by step, enabling them to perform more reliably in fields like physics, mathematics, and programming.

O3-pro is available to ChatGPT Pro and Team users starting Tuesday, replacing the “o1-pro” model. Enterprise and Edu users will have access the following week, OpenAI says.

According to OpenAI, “o3-pro” excels in math, science, and programming, as shown in academic assessments.
