Leo Messi has been announced as the player of the year 2024 in America. The Argentinian striker failed to win the championship with Inter Miami, however he won the most prestigious award for players.

The Argentine did not hide the fact that he did not go to the finals to win the title.

"I would like to receive this award in a different situation, playing in Saturday's final. But this is football. We had a dream to become MLS champions this year. It didn't happen. But next year we will come back stronger and we will try again", said Mesi.
