2027 Women's World Cup/ Albania gets a deserved point in the transfer against the Czech Republic

The women's national team secured an important 1-1 draw away to the Czech Republic, in a match valid for the qualifiers for the "Brazil 2027" World Cup.
The match held this afternoon at the "FK Viktoria" stadium in Prague was hard-fought and at a high pace, while the red and black girls showed character and strong reaction after the disadvantage. The equalizer for the team led by coach Armir Grima was scored by Vanesa Levendi, giving Albania a deserved point in this transfer.
The starting lineup was this: Rajmonda Spahiu (GK), Klea Hamonikaj, Arbiona Bajraktari, Mikaela Metalla, Alma Hilaj, Arbenita Curraj, Ezmiralda Franja, Ilarja Zarka, Vanesa Levendi, Fortesa Berisha and captain Megi Doçi.
The first half was characterized by a cautious game from both teams. The Czech Republic had more control of the ball and came close to our area several times, but the red and black defense proved to be organized and determined, neutralizing every dangerous attempt. On the other hand, Albania created two good scoring chances, but were unable to find the net. At the end of the first 45 minutes, the score remained unchanged, 0-0.
The home team took the lead in the 47th minute, when they scored with a shot from the center of the area. Despite goalkeeper Rajmonda Spahiu's reaction, her deflection was not enough to prevent the goal.
The red and black girls reacted immediately and continued to search for the equalizer. Their efforts were rewarded in the 69th minute, when Vanesa Levendi successfully completed a beautiful move, making the most of Fortesa Berisha's assist. Levendi's goal restored the balance in the match and sealed the final score at 1-1, despite subsequent attempts by both teams.
The women's national team will play the last match of these Brazil 2027 World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro on June 9, at 19:00, at the Loro Boriçi Stadium. The match will be broadcast live on FSHF TV.
