Al Ahli wins dramatic extra-time win to defend AFC Champions League Elite title

Al Ahli have achieved a historic victory, defeating Machida Zelvia 1-0 after extra time in the AFC Champions League Elite final, winning the trophy for the second time in a row.
The final took place at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, where the match was closely fought and balanced during regular time, with no goals from either team.
The hero of the evening was Firas Al-Buraikan, who came off the bench and scored the only goal of the match in the 96th minute of extra time, giving his team the triumph.
Al Ahli's victory is even more impressive considering that the team played for almost an hour with one less player, following Zakaria Hawsawi's red card.
With this success, Al Ahli enters history as one of only two teams to have won this elite Asian competition twice in a row.
