Dua Lipa sues Samsung for $15 million: Used my image without permission

Renowned singer Dua Lipa has filed a $15 million lawsuit against Samsung, accusing the company of using her image without authorization on television packaging and advertising campaigns.
The lawsuit has been filed in California Federal Court.
Claims the photo was used without permission
According to legal documents, Dua Lipa claims that Samsung has been using her photo on the company's products since last year, without seeking approval and without paying financial compensation.
The lawsuit states that the singer had previously requested the removal of her image from the packaging, but the company allegedly refused to act.
"The impression was created that she was advertising the products"
The artist's lawyers say her photo was used in a broad marketing campaign, creating the mistaken idea that Dua Lipa was endorsing or promoting Samsung products.
According to the lawsuit, her image was used:
without her knowledge,
without payment,
and without any formal agreement.
Accusations of unauthorized use and unfair competition
unauthorized use of the image,
false advertising,
and violation of unfair competition laws.
Dua Lipa's legal representatives stated that the artist is very selective in her collaborations with brands and would not have approved the use of her image without a clear agreement.
So far, Samsung has not publicly responded to the lawsuit.
