Are Washington-Tehran negotiations reviving? Iran's president: Talking does not mean surrendering

According to state media, Iran responded today to the US peace proposal.
Shortly after this report, Iran's president shared a short statement on social media, apparently referring to that development.
Masoud Pezeshkian said: “We will never bow our heads to the enemy, and if there is talk of dialogue or negotiations, it does not mean surrender or withdrawal. On the contrary, the goal is to protect the rights of the Iranian nation and defend national interests with resolute force.”
State media IRNA reported that at this stage, negotiations will focus on ending the war.
There are no further details yet on what Iran's response actually is.
The US plan would formally end the war before talks began on more contentious issues – such as Iran's nuclear program.
