The purge of Salijanj's supporters by the DP, the former candidate for MP:

The Democrats of Durrës are outraged after the DP's decision to expel two members of the DP group in the Durrës Municipal Council, Arlind Boshku and Dritan Burgija, a decision that came immediately after the support they showed for Ervin Salianji. The former candidate for deputy, the most voted on the open list of Durrës, Ndrec Pjetri, in an interview for Report TV, says that the revolt of the Democrats of Durrës will not remain without reaction, but will go all the way to the central headquarters of the DP in Tirana.
"This story will not go without reaction, and the reaction will go all the way to Tirana. Everyone is outraged, when 2 are expelled today, the other one is expelled tomorrow. There is uncertainty among all the Democrats. What happened on Monday will not pass peacefully, it will not pass with a reaction on Facebook. Concrete steps will be taken, this has not only worried those two, but all the Democrats of Durrës", said Ndrec Pjetri on Report TV.

In the show "Today Live in Albania" with journalist Nertil Agalliu, Pjetri does not rule out the possibility that a decision will be made against him to expel him from the party, emphasizing that it has become a practice, "whoever thinks differently has no place in the DP". He calls the expulsion of two democrats from the DP group in the Durrës Municipal Council a shameful act, also highlighting the contribution they have made to the party for years.

Democrat Pjetri compares this situation in the DP to the Labor Party, when you were expelled just because you thought differently. Pjetri adds that the expulsions only serve Rama and that, according to him, this strategy shows that the DP is not treated as a party of its members, but as the property of the leader of the DP and the Secretary General, Flamur Noka.

"The most shameful act that has happened in a political party in 35 years. The expulsion requires strong reasons to be carried out. The two democrats have been direct workers of our force for years, one has been a branch president and the other a branch secretary. What is most frightening is how they take someone's contribution over many years and erase it, throw it on the street. This action has clearly shown that this is not seen as a party of its members, but of the leadership, the owners are the secretary and president of the DPA. The same practice as in the Labor Party, when you had a different opinion or went outside the party line, they would slander you and expel you, there was even prison at that time, but these people do not have those conditions", Pjetri told Report TV.

According to Pjetri, the accusations that the two expelled Democrats served the Socialist Party are unfounded. He told Report TV that Burgija and Boshku supported him during the campaign when he ran for MP on the open list for Durres.

"The story started at the first meeting that Salianji had in Durrës, they were labeled as having worked for the SP. I am a witness that I received votes, if in this matter even the candidate's word has no weight, I don't know what does. That my 5 thousand votes go to Rama and not the DP. They campaigned for the DP. We are a community, united by the overthrow of Rama. Rama is only helped in this way, not overthrown", said Pjetri.
According to him, the DP is not Noka's property and exceptions cannot be made just because Noka declares that the two democrats worked for the SP.

"Yes, the confirmation that they have been campaigning with me is not proof. Where is the evidence that they worked for the SP, or is it enough for the general secretary to say it and it was taken as truth. The party is not the property of the general secretary, it is ours and that of all Albanians. We must create the premises to overthrow the regime. It seems to me that the goal is not to overthrow Rama, but to keep the DP. If you intend to overthrow Rama, you will seek greater unity, to allow internal competition, so that even people who have no connection can come closer. With as many numbers as the DP has, you cannot overthrow Rama. This must be expanded. But how do you expand it, with exceptions, by removing those who have been soldiers for 14 years, even with their own financing. It has become a practice, anyone who thinks differently has no place among us", said Pjetri.
Ervin Salianji reacted sharply to the expulsion of 2 councilors from the DP councilors' group a day ago, calling it an act of fear against dissent and free competition in the DP, as the internal elections for mayor are on the verge.
