"Historic honor for Albania and economic cooperation", Rama explains the reasons for the visit to Israel

Prime Minister Edi Rama began this week's podcast by explaining the reasons for his visit to Israel a few days ago, where he was the guest of honor at the plenary session of the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset.
Describing it as a rare invitation with extraordinary political and historical weight, Rama emphasized that this visit is a great appreciation for Albania, its history and the humane role that Albanians played during difficult periods of history.
"This week I was in Israel as an honorary guest at the plenary session of the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset, an honor that is rarely given and that carries an extraordinary political and historical weight, from the perspective of the legislators of that country. In Jerusalem, it was Albania that was placed on the pedestal of respect and beyond the great personal emotion, even stronger was a national emotion, because that invitation was a great appreciation for Albania, for its history and for the way our grandparents used to behave when history tested humanity and of course for what Albania is today in the international arena ," Rama said.
Referring to the speech given in the Knesset, Rama said that it was the voice of a people that did not surrender to anyone.
"My speech in the Knesset was in fact the speech of a people who never gave up on anyone and who today, from the heart of Israel, was able to speak clearly about human dignity, about the memory of peace and about responsibility in a troubled world, where religion should be a balm and not a poison among peoples and in the bosom of peoples."
During his visit to Israel, Rama also announced the establishment of the Albanian-Israeli Chamber of Commerce, described as a concrete step towards strengthening economic cooperation and opening new paths for a shared future.
"In Israel, we took another concrete step towards the future with the establishment of the Albanian-Israeli Chamber of Commerce, a new instrument of cooperation that opens new paths for a shared future . "
According to the Prime Minister, Israel constitutes an important reference for Albania due to its development, expertise and achievements in fields such as technology, agriculture and security, considering this visit as a cornerstone for tomorrow's cooperation.
"This visit, in its depth, had such a content that serves, not only the reasons why it was made, but also serves tomorrow, as a cornerstone to walk together as a path, where there are many reasons, at least for us on our part, to refer to Israel, as a country with extraordinary development, as a country with extraordinary expertise, as a country with extraordinary realities in the field of technology, in the field of agriculture, in the field of security, without a doubt, and for all these reasons I am truly proud of what was done in the week we left behind," Rama said.
