Scandal on the Librazhd-Prrenjas axis/ The national road is paralyzed by a massive rock slide at the "Dragostunja Bends", the company disappears from the terrain

Since 11:00 am, traffic on the Librazhd-Prrenjas national road has been completely blocked, causing chaos and long lines of vehicles in both directions. The cause of the serious situation has been massive landslides of rocks, with tens and hundreds of cubic meters, that have fallen onto the road in the area known as "Dragostunja Bends".

The situation is alarming, as large rock masses have completely occupied the road segment, making it impossible for vehicles to pass and seriously endangering the safety of drivers. Hundreds of citizens have been stranded for hours on one of the most important national arteries that connects Librazhd with Southeast Albania.

There are additional Traffic Police forces on the ground, which are monitoring the situation and trying to manage traffic, but without any concrete solution, due to the lack of funds from the companies that maintain this segment, as well as the lack of technical interventions to remove the rock masses.

Meanwhile, the company that is carrying out the works to widen the Librazhd-Dragostunjë-Hotolisht road, which according to sources on the ground is considered the direct cause of this situation, has not taken any minimal action to clean the road and restore traffic. This negligence is risking the paralysis of this vital axis for many hours, increasing the indignation of drivers and residents of the area.

Citizens are requesting urgent intervention from the responsible institutions, as in addition to blocking traffic, there is a real risk of serious accidents if the landslides continue or if vehicles attempt to pass in unsafe conditions.
