The Democratic Party-Euro-Atlantic Democrats has reacted to the serious event in the city of Pogradec. Spokesperson Mirela Karabina in a statement to the media said that the event in question has shocked public opinion as a person was raped to death and left for 30 minutes in the middle of the road in a serious condition, where neither the police nor the first aid they did not act in time to save the life of the deceased.
Karabina says that new facts are revealed day by day which prove the degradation of the entire state in this country, since from the moment of the event until today, the official version of the event has been changed several times.
" DP-Euro-Atlantic Democrats demands an in-depth investigation into the actions of the competent bodies for their failure to react in time as well as the assessment they have made of the case in question, specifically: the Pogradec Police Station, the Prosecutor's Office and the Court of First Instance with Pogradec General Jurisdiction as well as the Hospital Emergency" , says Karabina further asking for a quick clarification and the perpetrators to go to justice.

The Democratic Party-Euro-Atlantic Democrats is following with attention and deep concern the serious event in Pogradec that has shocked public opinion, where a citizen lost his life, being left for 30 minutes in the middle of the road in a serious condition, where not even the police and even the first aid did not act in time to save the life of the deceased.
Day after day, new facts are revealed which prove the degradation of the entire state in this country, since from the moment of the event until today, the official version of the event has been changed several times.
Filimishti was reported as an accidental death and then that the young man was violently beaten until he lost his life in the middle of the road.
The silence and failure to react in time for hiding the truth and uncovering the murder has aroused fear and indignation among the citizens, as their lives are in danger and the state does not work to protect them.
The Democratic Party-Euro-Atlantic Democrats demands an in-depth investigation into the actions of the competent bodies for their failure to react in time as well as the assessment they have made of the case in question, specifically: the Pogradec Police Station, the Prosecutor's Office and the Court of First Instance with General Jurisdiction Pogradec as well as Hospital Emergency.
These authorities must be held responsible, starting from the delay in providing emergency aid, continuing with the police's attempt to report the event as accidental, thus manipulating it, and continuing with the local justice authorities.
The tragic event has shocked not only the city of Pogradec, but the entire Albanian public opinion.
This incident must be clarified immediately and all those who were part of the loss of life of a young man, a son, a father of two orphaned children and a husband should be brought to justice.
The Democratic Party-Euro-Atlantic Democrats expresses its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.
