Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the next episode of the podcast "Flasim", stated that our country is now closer than ever to EU membership.
He said that the EU, in discussing the European Commission's report, assesses that Albania is now ready to enter the closing phase of the integration chapters.
"Yesterday, May 9, on Europe Day, Albania found itself closer than ever to the EU. For the first time in many decades, the path to the EU looks like a peak now visible to the eye and achievable in the time we have available. Negotiations have advanced at a rapid pace, the European Commission and the member states are now at a key stage of the process where they are discussing the commission's report, which assesses that Albania has completed its homework and is ready to enter the phase of closing the negotiations through intermediate milestones," he said.
