"Doctor, how many meters are left of the last kilometer?"/ Berisha:

During a conversation with his followers on FB, Sali Berisha received another question with a strong dose of mockery from a citizen named Liman Lama, who asked him "how many meters are left of the last kilometer." Berisha, in turn, after thanking Liman for the question, says again that this is the last kilometer and now we must finally win the battle for the free vote.

Liman Lama: Hello Doctor, can you tell us how many meters the last kilometer is because it's not over yet?

Sali Berisha : Thank you, my friend, and I ask for your understanding in this brief explanation.

We launched it in September 2021 at a time when the project was Albania without opposition or the project was Albania with an opposition facade.

I believe it is clear.

And together we stood up with courage, we stood up with determination for a fundamental ideal, to defend true pluralism.

I believe we accomplished this.

Secondly, we walked. They kept our headquarters, they took away our seal. They excluded us from the voting list. Are these true or not? They are true.

What happened? 500 thousand Albanians voted for us.

Edi Rama, after seeing that he no longer controlled the opposition, found a way, the way of his fathers. He arrested the leader of the main opposition party, arrested the leader of the second opposition party, and prosecuted the leader of the third opposition party.

In practice, totally Stalinist.

But can you defeat us?

No, he never managed to defeat us.

With overwhelming interference, the parliamentary group was divided. We united in defiance of all interference. We brought back the logo, we participated in the local elections. These are all kilometers.

He violated them article by article. We defended the vote. The black book.

Were we not three or four years ago the most undeservedly isolated force in Europe?

We were fighting the international mafia, the Albanian mafia, we were fighting for true pluralism.

But we succeeded and today there are eight international resolutions that condemn Edi Rama, condemn the electoral farce, condemn the political persecution of Sali Berisha, Ilir Meta, Fatmir Mediu, and opposition leaders.

Aren't these the kilometers we traveled together? Isn't this an epic journey, dear friend, in the face of the most corrupt regime in Europe and the first and only narco-state?

Yes. Why the last kilometer?

Because we successfully completed all these kilometers. In each of these kilometers we could have stayed.

I'll just stop for a moment. Defending the vote is one of the most difficult things because the tendency is to treat the cries of the opposition with caution.

The government has extraordinary lobbying, but when did we realize the protection of the vote?

We did it in the local elections. With the black book, we caused the electoral process in Albania to be branded as a farce in the resolutions adopted in Washington, Malta, and Valencia.

Could you achieve the objective in the conditions of a farce?

No, the opposition doesn't win farces.

So, we covered these kilometers as an invincible and true opposition.

Why the last kilometer?

Yes, now it's not up to us to decide whether or not to defend the vote because we have defended the vote.

Now no one tells us that you have no alternative when we have the most excellent program that Albania has ever had.

Now no one tells us that you are isolated at a time when we have the greatest support.

But, do we have a boulevard now?

No, we don't have the boulevard. And the dictatorship with votes didn't go away.

What is the objective then?

The objective is the removal of Edi Rama and the creation of a caretaker government.

Have the foundations been laid for this request?

Yes. There are several resolutions, including the last one adopted in Zagreb, that insist on a technical government.

But in particular, the labeling of elections as a process where the line between state institutions and party structures was blurred proves that with this regime there are no elections and a technical government is needed, a government to hold elections.

And this is in our hands, this is in our hands as the opposition, to continue our peaceful uprising until the objective is achieved.

This is the last kilometer. We left everything behind.

We went through an ordeal like no other political force, but we won.

Now we must finally win the battle for the free vote.

So I ask for understanding.

This is not an easy kilometer, no, I have said it and I say it, but it is crucial.

And we who did all those other kilometers, we will do this and we will win.

Happening now...
