Democratic leader Sali Berisha warns that this Saturday, the Presidency of the Democratic Party will meet and bold and decisive decisions are expected to be made, for what he calls the final battle of the Democrats.

For the first time, yesterday evening he acknowledged what happened with the election of Endri Shabani as People's Advocate and apologized to democrats throughout Albania.

Even today, a few moments ago, he reacted on his account and said that mistakes are human. The Democratic Party has recently found itself in unprecedented situations, while the membership has demanded a reaction from Sali Berisha.

"Mistakes are human, but resilience is the DNA of the Democrats. Today at the leadership meeting, the leadership will make decisions to engage in the decisive battle, the final battle," the Democratic leader writes, warning of strong decisions.

The Democratic Party did not field candidates in the local by-elections, agreeing to support independent candidates and suffered a heavy defeat, while the membership demanded a reaction.

In the absence of an answer, Ervin Salianji and the most voted in the primaries in the DP have started a movement within the largest opposition party. Their "coffee" has stirred the waters in the Democratic Party and now Salianji has started his speeches, despite having declared that he does not intend to become chairman.

The most serious scandal involving this political force was recorded two days ago when, with the signatures of Democratic MPs, Endri Shabani went to the Assembly as a candidate for the position of Ombudsman and was elected with the votes of the Socialists.

MPs and Sali Berisha himself have taken turns apologizing to the Democrats.
