'Completely innocent'/ Hashim Thaçi pleads guilty before The Hague tribunal for the second indictment

Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi has pleaded not guilty to the second indictment filed against him by The Hague for interference in justice.

"Completely innocent ," Thaçi said when asked by the judge.

 All others accused in this case, Bashkim Smakaj, Fadil Fazliu, Isni Kilaj and Hajredin Kuçi, have also pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.

On 29 November 2024, the Pre-Trial Judge of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers confirmed the indictment against Hashim Thaçi, Bashkim Smakaj, Fadil Fazliu, Isni Kilaj and Hajredin Kuçi, and subsequently issued four arrest warrants and one summons.

In the indictment, the defendants are charged with criminal offenses related to allegations of unlawful attempts to influence witness testimony in the war crimes trial of Thaçi et al.
