LVV confirms Albin Kurti as candidate for prime minister in the June 7 elections

The General Council of the Vetëvendosje Movement gave its confidence to the party's leader, Albin Kurti, to be a candidate for prime minister in the June 7 elections.

In his speech, Kurti said that for all other parties the parliamentary threshold is 5% while for his it is 60%, seeking a higher victory than in December 2025.

He said that after the elections, he will seek cooperation with other parties to elect a non-partisan president, outside the current political scene, with integrity and professional and national values.

Kurti blamed the same parties for the blockade and for leading the country to new elections.
