Europe Day, Spiropali: Integration is not a mountain of papers, but a world where power is limited by law and the state is no one's property!

Former Speaker of Parliament and SP MP, Elisa Spiropali, has shared a message with her followers on Europe Day.
The former Foreign Minister emphasizes in her reaction that Albania, although part of Europe, seeks to enter it, and according to her, this is due to historical complications or paradoxes.
According to Spiropai, Europe for Albanians is not a mountain of papers or a stack of documents, but a world where power is limited by law and "where human dignity is worth more than force and where the state is no one's property."
"Today is Europe Day. That Europe in which we are, and, surprisingly, we must enter. Not because we are to blame for such confusions or paradoxes, but because such was our historical fate. As such, for Albania and Albanians, Europe has never been simply and only a political destination, but much more, mainly a way out of historical loneliness with all its consequences.
Europe for us is not a mountain of papers, a stack of documents.
Europe for us is part of a world where power is limited by law, where human dignity is worth more than force, and where the state is no one's property. Albania's European path is not just a process of negotiations. It is a process of civilization.
And yes, this path has been long, often unfair, often disappointing. But it is still the most important, and only, path we have chosen.
Europe is not perfect, Europe did not fall from the sky. Europe is the place of millennial toil for continuous perfection, the place where, in search of freedom, societies constantly try to correct themselves.
For us, this is a battle with ourselves that we will soon win.
"Happy Europe Day," Spiropali emphasizes.
