Accused of war crimes in Kosovo, suspect arrested. Here's what was found in his apartment

Kosovo authorities on Saturday arrested a man they suspect of committing war crimes against the civilian population in Kosovo during the 1998-99 war. In a media release, the Special Prosecution identified the suspect only by the initials AD, and said he is suspected of committing the alleged crimes in the village of Ivajë and surrounding villages in the southern Kosovo town of Kaçanik.
The prosecution did not say where he was captured, but said that during his arrest they found and seized a gun, two magazines, 30 rounds of ammunition, an air rifle and a MUP uniform, citing the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs. Authorities did not provide further details about the suspect or the alleged crimes. His arrest comes just weeks after a court in Pristina sentenced two former members of Serbia's police and military forces to prison for war crimes in Kosovo during the 1998-99 war.
The court in Pristina sentenced Zoran Kostic to 15 years in prison on March 18, while Dragan Milovic was sentenced to 7 years in prison during a hearing last week.
During the war in Kosovo, more than 13,000 civilians – mostly Albanians – were killed, while thousands more disappeared. More than 1,500 people are still missing, most of them Albanians. Recently, Kosovo authorities have arrested numerous suspects and filed a series of indictments for war crimes in Kosovo.
Meanwhile, since the end of the war, dozens of suspects have been convicted of these crimes before local and international institutions. Initially, after the war, from 2000 and 2008, respectively, war crimes in Kosovo were investigated by the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), and from 2008, by the European Union Rule of Law Mission (EULEX). In 2018, EULEX handed over the cases to local justice bodies./REL
