The Guard did not allow Edi Rama to attend the meeting?! Erion Braçe explains what happened in Unit 7: I do not oppose my party, like those within the SP who live with slander

Socialist MP Erion Braçe has clarified media reports that the Guard officers who guard and accompany Prime Minister Edi Rama did not allow him to participate in a meeting he held on Monday with the Assembly of Unit 7 in Tirana.

With voice and image, Erion Braçe categorically denies the reports and shows a completely different reality than what has been reported.

"What is written here is not true. It did not happen like that. The Unit 7 meeting took place on Monday and not yesterday or the day before. Yes, it is true, in the group of leaders where I am, the meeting was announced at 18:00, but in the unit group a different time was announced, 17:15.

"I left the Parliament, I went on foot and I was there 10 minutes earlier. I saw other socialists in the lobby who were outside. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister was speaking inside," says Erion Braçe.

He says that he himself preferred not to enter the room where discussions were taking place, as he would have to pass between the members and the prime minister, something he chose not to do because it would have seemed like a confrontation.

"I asked the Guard, they told me that I could go inside, they even opened the door for me to go inside along with the socialists who were in the lobby. But after seeing that I would have to make a very long procession between the Prime Minister and the members of the Assembly, I decided not to do this because it would seem like a confrontation."

"And I am not one of those who do things against my party. I have never done this kind of politics of insults and I do not intend to do it. I have done politics that are essentially for the common people of this country," the socialist MP further stated.

Erion Braçe speaks for the first time about those socialists who, according to him, provide "food" to the media, slandering what happens inside meetings where leftists discuss.

"I don't blame the media, but those within the Socialist Party who have this policy as a way of life. Take news in, put it out. Slander what happens inside and put it out," the MP says, saying that this is a policy that he has not done and will never do.
