US military strikes Islamic State targets in Syria

The US military reportedly carried out strikes against ISIS in Syria this Saturday, according to international media.

The news is reported by Al Arabiya, but it has provided details.

"The US military has struck ISIS targets in Syria, a US official told Al Arabiya English," the media reported.

Earlier, US special envoy for Syria Tom Barrack said that recent clashes between Kurdish and government forces in Aleppo were "deeply concerning" and jeopardized the March 2025 integration agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Damascus government.

"We call on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, immediately cease hostilities and return to dialogue ," Barrack said after meeting with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Foreign Minister Assad al-Shaibani.

Barrack added that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio's team is ready to facilitate cooperation between the two sides to move forward with the integration process.
