Last hour before the expiration of the ultimatum for Iran / Pope Leo XIV criticizes Trump: Unacceptable, he is inciting a fierce war!
Pope Leo XIV has issued a warning about threats against the population of Iran, which he said are "unacceptable."
The Pope's reaction comes minutes after US President Donald Trump set a deadline to open the Strait of Hormuz or else warned that "an entire civilization will die tonight" in a social media post that shocked world leaders.
"Today, as we all know, there was this threat against the entire people of Iran and this is truly unacceptable," the Pope said of the threats raised by Trump.
He further added that it is a moral issue for the good of the peoples (of the world).
"Of course there are issues of international law here, but even more than that, it is a moral issue for the good of the peoples (of the world) ," the Pope added.
Regarding the situation in the Middle East, Pope Leo has been quite critical of the US, which he believes is making the situation worse.
Recall that last week, the Pope made his first direct appeal to Trump to find a way to end the conflict in the Middle East. On the other hand, Trump continues to threaten to destroy Iran if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened.
