Berisha complains about censorship, but dominates the screen! AMA: DP received 74.7% of television time in February, the leading democrat surpasses even Rama

Sali Berisha has long turned accusations that the media censors the opposition and does not give it enough television time into a political narrative. But, in fact, the figures of the Audiovisual Media Authority speak of a completely different reality. A monitoring that the AMA has been conducting for months now, ranks the Democratic Party as the political force that dominates the television space, together with its leader Berisha.

The data for February clearly confirms this trend. According to the monitoring of the Audiovisual Media Authority, the Democratic Party occupies the vast majority of television time with 74.7%. In second place is the Socialist Party with 23.85%, a deep difference of over 50 percentage points compared to the Democrats.

While other small parties have an almost symbolic presence on national screens, the Freedom Party with 0.44%, the Republican Party of Albania with 0.37% and "Mundësia" with 0.63%. These figures show that the Albanian media space is dominated by the two main political forces, the DP and the SP, although clearly with a marked advantage for the DP.

Sali Berisha is not far behind in terms of television time given to political actors. According to data from the Audiovisual Media Authority for February, Berisha is the most present political actor in the media, with 34.87% of the total time. Prime Minister Edi Rama is in second place with 26.58%, about 10 percentage points less than Berisha.

Meanwhile, the top 10 politicians who have received the most television airtime also include 5 socialist MPs, Arbjan Mazniku with 3.93%, followed by Taulant Balla with 3.46%, Elisa Spiropali with 2.39%, Pirro Vengu with 1.84% and Erion Braçe with 1.26%. After Berisha, the two MPs who have received the most television airtime and who are ranked in the top 10 are Luçiano Boçi with 1.7% and Gazment Bardhi with 1.62%. Meanwhile, only 1.61% of television airtime went to President Bajram Begaj.
