Israel and US coordinated attack on Iran, Reuters: Khamenei fled Tehran

Israel and the United States launched what they described as preemptive strikes on Iran this morning, as loud explosions were reported in Tehran and Israel declared a state of emergency across the country.
According to international media reports, explosions were heard in various areas of the Iranian capital. Reuters, citing an Iranian official, reported that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is not in Tehran and has been moved to a safe location. Earlier, the Associated Press reported that one of the attacks in the capital occurred near Khamenei's offices.
At the time of the launch of the surprise operation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) sent urgent notices to citizens, instructing them to stay close to protected areas and shelters due to the risk of a possible retaliation. The situation remains tense, while the international community is following with concern the developments and the risk of a wider escalation in the region.
