A 7-month-old girl died after her mother threw her from a balcony into the street.
The serious incident was recorded this Wednesday in Misterbianco, Catania, as the carabinieri intervened at the scene and took the woman under control.
118 people present at the scene tried to save the little girl, who died before reaching the Catania hospital. Another ambulance took over the little girl's father, who needed medical attention and was also taken to the hospital.
The Catania Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation. The woman, 40 years old, had psychological problems, apparently aggravated by postpartum depression, and for this reason she was being followed by a doctor. The woman also has another child, a seven-year-old son./ ANSA
