Gentiana Hudhra's murder by her ex-husband in Italy, the son of the 45-year-old Albanian woman recounts meeting with his father before the crime: I ate ice cream with my dad, then he went and killed my mom

Mario, one of the two children of Gentiana Hudhra, the 45-year-old Albanian woman stabbed to death two days ago in Italy by her ex-husband, Nikollaq Hudhra, has told the media about his experience when he learned of the tragic event.

According to neighboring media, the young man stated that he had met with his father before the latter went to slaughter his mother with a knife in the middle of the street.

"I went to eat ice cream with my dad, then he killed my mom," he is reported to have said.

Today, confirmation of the arrest and the security questioning session before the preliminary investigation judge are expected for the man who, after the femicide, sat on a bench and awaited the arrival of the carabinieri, to whom he surrendered and confessed to the crime.

The 55-year-old, of Albanian origin and a worker at an agricultural company in Passignano sul Trasimeno (Perugia), stated that he had considered acting 2-3 times over the past month.

He killed his ex-wife, with whom he had been separated since 2021, using an 18-centimeter bladed knife as she was on her way to work. He told police he did it to save his children.

Meanwhile, an autopsy has been ordered on the victim's body. The prosecutor has charged him with the aggravating circumstances of marital relationship, foresight and the cruelty of the crime.

The ex-spouses have two children, ages 21 and 23, who lived with their mother. There were no recent signs of any immediate danger to the safety of the woman, who was on her way to work as usual on Saturday (June 14) evening.
