The Director of Rrogozhina Prison, Bilal Hasa, has surrendered to the police to provide full explanations regarding the discovery of four thousand narcotic plants in his apartment in the village of Kurtaj, Gjocaj Administrative Unit.
Sources indicate that Hasa has denied claims that the drugs belong to him, stating that it has no connection to the illegal activity discovered in the building.
It is learned that he claimed that he had not been to that facility for several months and that he had no knowledge of what might have been practiced there.
Meanwhile, police sources indicate that the possibility that the illegal connection of electricity to the facility may have been carried out by his brother, who lives in the village, is also being investigated.
We recall that the police announced that the drugs were discovered in the basement of a warehouse in two environments specially adapted for the cultivation of narcotic plants, closed and with electric lamps.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the premises are owned by Bilal Hasa , who was declared wanted by the police along with Ervis Maci , the OSHEE official responsible for the Peqin area.
We recall that the General Directorate of Prisons reacted officially, announcing that it was informed of the event through the media and took immediate measures. The institution announces that Hasa has been suspended from duty until the circumstances are fully clarified by the justice authorities, while emphasizing that it distances itself from any illegal action.
