Vlora Police have reported that they have prevented what they described as a possible criminal event.
According to the official announcement, on February 8, 2026, the investigation structures of the Vlora Local Police Directorate conducted detailed checks on the road axis and in the territory of the village of Babicë e Madhe, for two vehicles that were suspected of being used to commit a criminal act.
During the checks, the Police services found two suspected stolen vehicles hidden in an olive grove in the village of Babicë e Madhe, specifically a “Nissan” and an “Audi Q5”, both with foreign license plates. Three fuel cans (gasoline) were also found and seized.
Initial investigative actions indicate that the seized vehicles were used to commit a serious criminal act. The vehicles and other material evidence have been seized as material evidence and are undergoing scientific examinations.
The special investigative group at the Vlora Local Police Directorate, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the case, as well as to identify and document the responsible persons.
