Dibra apples remain unsold, farmers: There is no market, the price is very low

The farmers of Dibra who have cultivated different varieties of apples are facing the lack of market and the low selling price.

This year's production is abundant, but according to farmer Gëzim Ademi, wholesalers are leading them to bankruptcy because they choose regional products and not those of the country.

" Where should we take them? Let them fall to the ground. I spent 2 million ALL. You don't get anyone here, no one has come. Only if I sell some grain on the street, I stay on the street all year ," said the farmer.

Farmers also complain about the lack of labor.

" There are no workers, I collect them only with my wife. There are no more workers ".

Farmers' concerns to find the market where they will sell their produce at a profitable price for them are annual, while calls to the government to support and guide them are continuous.
