Thousands of residents in Mirdita without water due to damage to the water supply line

The damage occurred in the early hours of Friday, causing an immediate water outage.
The employees of the Water Supply and Sewerage Service have carried out on-site verifications and have determined that there is serious damage to a length of 85 m of this supply line, which requires specialized intervention and special technical means. Due to the difficult terrain and deteriorating weather conditions, the intervention is difficult and dangerous and the Regional Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Lezha does not have the full technical capacities for the immediate repair of this defect, while work is being done to provide the necessary assistance for the final resolution of the situation.
Today, through alternative technical solutions, a partial supply of drinking water has been made to the city of Rrëshen, while some villages continue to remain without drinking water. The Civil Emergencies in the Lezha Prefecture announce that work is underway to restore normal supply in these areas as well and the situation is being monitored.
