In an official ceremony, the new Police Director Skënder Hita assumed his new duties today.

Minister of Internal Affairs Besfort Lamallari praised his figure for the professionalism and integrity he has shown throughout his career.

" I appreciate all the candidates who were present. Regarding the winning candidate, I am convinced that all of you here today, but also beyond, share the same conviction with me that Mr. Hita is the right person to lead the Police at this important moment. He is professional and with integrity ," the minister said during his speech.
