The former leader of the Durrës gang, Lulzim Berisha, extradited from Spain two days ago, appeared today before the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) for the assignment of a security measure.

During the hearing, Berisha strongly denied the accusations based on the testimony of justice collaborator Luftar Reçi, claiming that he never had contact with him.

"I don't know that man at all, I've never met him. If you try to contact me, punish me as much as you want. Just as I was accused of the other charge, this one will be punished as well."

Lulzim Berisha was arrested in Spain following an international arrest warrant and extradited to Albania. He is accused of involvement in serious crimes, including murder and criminal activity as part of the Durrës gang, one of the most notorious criminal organizations in Albania.
