Three minor children in Durrës have been taken under protection by Social Services, after a complaint that the ex-daughter-in-law of their mother's son had left them alone in the palace.
According to the police, the incident was reported by a citizen who asked for help, and thanks to the cooperation between the Police and the Child Protection Office, the three children were initially taken to the hospital for medical check-ups, and then placed under the care of the Child Protection Center in Durrës.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the ex-daughter-in-law for "Child Abuse", and the case has been submitted to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Plazh Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen BB, 33 years old, for the criminal offense of "Ill-treatment of minors".
The criminal proceedings began after citizen DV appeared today, at around 5:20 PM, stating that her son's ex-daughter-in-law had left her three minor children alone in the building where she lived, a case that was also published on social networks.
The Police services, in cooperation with the Child Protection Office, made it possible to take three children into protection, who were sent to the hospital for medical examinations and then taken into care by the Durrës Child Protection Center.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further action.
