In parallel with the 22nd consecutive protest that is expected to start in a few hours in Tirana, the civic revolt against Edi Rama's government has also found support in the Austrian capital. Albanians living in Vienna have organized a rally to join the protesters in their homeland.
Emanuela Zaimi, one of the Albanians present at this rally, spoke in a live link to News24, where she emphasized that their cause is common to that of the citizens of Albania.
"We stand in support of the people in Albania, our calls are the same as theirs," Zaimi said live from Vienna.
She also responded to Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements and accusations regarding the background of these gatherings, clarifying that the diaspora movement is completely pure and has as its sole goal the future of the country.
"The Prime Minister continues to care about the interests of the protest, but the Diaspora only protects the interests of Albania. This protest is absolutely in defense of our country," concluded Zaimi.
