A 7-year-old boy was hit and killed this morning in the village of Mengel in Elbasan by the famous director Petri Bozo. The incident occurred this Monday morning on the Elbasan-Librazhd axis, around 08:00, when the minor was going to school accompanied by his mother.
The dynamics of the accident are still unclear. Sources told Report TV that the minor escaped from the hands of his mother who was taking him to school and at that moment was hit by the vehicle driven by director Bozo. Meanwhile, Report TV also brought footage from the scene, where blood marks after the minor's fatal collision are visible on the side of the road, outside the track.
Regarding the accident, the police have accompanied the director to the police station, while an investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
"Around 08:00, on the "Elbasan-Librazhd" road, the vehicle driven by citizen PB, 61 years old, hit a child of about 7 years old, who lost his life as a result. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the police station for further action. The investigation team at the scene is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident," the police announced today.
After the serious incident, residents say that drivers drive too fast and that this is not the first accident to have occurred in this area, but another minor died a few years ago near the same location.
" The drivers drive very fast, this is a residential area. Another child died in the same place 4-5 years ago," says the resident.
The minor was a student at the 9-year "Sulejman Rranci" school, which is located on the edge of the Elbasan-Librazhd national axis, while there is no shortage of signage on the road.
