An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded in the early hours of Saturday morning in the Leptokaria area of ​​Thesprotia. According to the Geodynamic Institute, the tremor was recorded at 06:37, with an epicenter about 9 kilometers northwest of Leptokaria and a focal depth of 10 kilometers.

The earthquake was felt in several areas of Thesprotia, but so far the authorities have not reported any material damage or injuries.

Just a few hours earlier, at 04:50, another earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 Richter was recorded in the same area. According to seismological data, the activity is being monitored by experts, who estimate that it could be a small seismic sequence. The responsible institutions continue to monitor the situation, while so far there are no signals that the tremors have caused significant consequences.
