Manuel Neuer (Nojer) is the next senator who has made public the decision to end his career with the German national team. The goalkeeper of the 'panzers', who defended the quadrangle for the last time in the European Championship of Germany, played a total of 129 matches with the national team, while he retires at the age of 38.

Neuer is the fourth player to announce his retirement from Germany after the European Championship, as Toni Kroos did, who also hung up his boots for good. Ilkay Gundogan and Thomas Muller also made the same decision regarding the national team, while Nuer now has a 1-year contract with Bayern Munich.
