Mirlind Daku is getting ready to take the next step in his career. The Albanian national team striker will change teams, while remaining in the Russian football championship.
The player will bid farewell to Rubin Kazan, to transfer to a bigger name in Russian football, Zenit Saint Petersburg, which has been the main club in the new millennium as it has 11 championship titles in Russia, not forgetting a UEFA Cup and a European Super Cup.
Russian media reports that Daku's transfer will cost Zenit 8 million euros, while the player will sign a four-year contract. At the same time, it has been learned that Daku will receive a salary of 2.2 million euros per year at his new club, with other significant bonuses depending on goals and objectives.
Daku is expected to travel to St. Petersburg on Sunday for medical examinations and to sign the contract.
