Marash Kumbulla: I did everything possible for the transfer to Espanyol

Espanyol presents Marash Kumbulla. The defender of the Albanian national team appeared before the media.

Despite having played the first matches with Espanyol, only yesterday Kumbulla was introduced to the new club.

When it was his turn to speak, the 24-year-old said that he feels good in Spain:

"Very happy to be here, when the opportunity arose, I did everything possible to come here. I have felt very good these three weeks, everything has been positive on and off the field and I hope that everything will continue like this", says the defender first.

Kumbulla has thanked the trust received, both from the coach Manolo Gonzales, and from the fans, who are satisfied with his performance, explaining that he was surprised by his quick adaptation, which was expected by his teammates of the team and staff.

As for what he expects with the white and blue this season, Kumbulla has admitted that it is about playing as much as possible and achieving the team's collective objectives, despite the fact that at the moment he only thinks about being in the game every game.

In the end, Kumbulla was asked if he had spoken to his compatriot, Keidi Bare, about Espanjoli: "He only spoke to me about positive things about Espanjoli, he didn't tell me anything negative.

I have also spoken before with Garagarza (the director) and Manolo (the coach), but when everything coincided, I had no doubts about coming to Espanyol", said Kumbulla during the presentation. The next match with his new club will be tomorrow against Alaves at home.
