Although winter sports are not traditional in our country, expectations before the competitions were high with Lara Kolturi, the 19-year-old Italian who has been competing for the colors of the Albanian flag for several years.

Lara came after several podium finishes in slalom at the World Cup, but failed to do so at the Olympics, finishing in tenth place.

This is also the highest result ever achieved by an Albanian athlete at the Winter Olympics. In the giant slalom, Lara was classified in 16th place. Meanwhile, Deni Xhepa, Semire Dauti and Lisa Brunga were unable to leave a mark in their competitions.
