Simone Inzaghi is officially the new coach of Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, who have introduced him as the “Italian genius.” Inzaghi’s move comes after four successful seasons at Inter, where he won the Serie A title, two Coppa Italias and three Italian Super Cups, while losing twice in the Champions League final.
Inzaghi has signed for two years and will be the highest-paid coach in the world, with a salary that reaches up to 30 million euros per season, including bonuses and various incentives.
In a club statement, Al Hilal announced the arrival of the Italian coach and released a video of this special moment, which was filmed at a hotel in Paris.
"I am very happy to undertake a new experience, after having managed Lazio and Inter, I wanted to go abroad and this opportunity for me is a privilege. I know Al Hilal well because I follow Arab football, I played here many times with Lazio and Inter and then I followed the club with sympathy for the presence of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

"Why Al Hilal? I have followed the history of the club, I have always seen thousands of fans in the stadium, I have seen the stadium full even in the last match of the Asian Champions League," said the Italian coach.
Simone Inzaghi will begin his career in Saudi Arabia during the Club World Cup, which is taking place in the USA. Al Hilal will face Real Madrid on June 18, RB Salzburg on June 23 and Pachuca on June 27.
