The kiss that went viral/ Former Astronomer CEO plans to sue Coldplay

Former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron is reportedly considering suing Coldplay over allegations that he caught him with his girlfriend Kristin Cabot, the company's human resources director, during a kissing session on camera at their concert.

Based on what sources close to the manager quoted by the New York Post say, the lawsuit against the band and the event organizers is based on allegations of "violation of privacy" and "emotional distress" due to the embarrassment he experienced.

The New York tabloid explains that Byron, in addition to "not giving consent to be filmed," feels "a victim of involuntary public humiliation," which has "turned him into a meme."

Legal experts consulted by the newspaper believe the lawsuit's chances of success are slim.

Coldplay has yet to officially respond to Byron's potential lawsuit. However, renowned gossip columnist Rob Shuter, citing sources, claims that Chris Martin "laughed out loud" at the idea of getting involved in legal action following the kissing camera incident. Legal experts, as mentioned, are skeptical about the lawsuit's chances of success.

After Byron's resignation as CEO of Astronomer, there was a lot of controversy over whether Cabot had remained at the company. But just over a week after the infamous kiss cam, she also decided to leave her role. After the video went viral, the tech company announced that it had launched an internal investigation into the matter, which led to the appointment of co-founder and chief product officer Pete DeJoy as interim CEO.
