Eurovision Song Contest 2025, voting procedure published, here's what will happen if two songs have the same number of points

The 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 culminates tonight with the Grand Final. This evening, 26 songs will be performed and after 4 hours of music, performances, entertainment and emotions, the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will be announced.

The show starts at 9:00 PM and is broadcast live from the St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland.

The presenters are Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker and Sandra Studer. The order of the songs has been decided by the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR) based on a draw. Shkodra Elektronik's song 'Zjerm' will be the 26th.

The voting procedure, according to the official website of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, will follow the same procedure as the last two years.

Each participating country will have two groups of points with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 points to award. One group for each country's jury and one group for each country's televoting. Online votes from countries not participating in the Festival will have the same weight as participating countries.

Each of the 37 countries participating in this year's Eurovision will be able to vote.

Each country has a national jury which awards a set of points with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 points.

Online voting from countries not participating in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 has the same weight as a participating country: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 points.

First, the jury's scores will be presented individually by a spokesperson for each country.

Secondly, the points from the televoting will be accumulated and awarded in combination.

National juries voted yesterday evening (Friday, May 16) during the second dress rehearsal.

If two countries have the same number of points, a combined national televoting and jury result will be counted only for the purpose of resolving tie situations. The best of the two is the song that has received points from the highest number of countries from the combined national televoting and jury calculation.
