Bulgaria wins the 70th edition of Eurovision, DARA triumphs after a "head-to-head" competition with Israel, Alis receives 145 points, ranked 13th
The big night of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 has arrived, an evening that gave it all: intense competition emotions, a real visual spectacle and extraordinary vocal performances. After nearly 4 hours of a show full of rhythm and energy in the “Wiener Stadthalle” arena, the trophy of the 70th jubilee edition went to Bulgaria, which won thanks to the explosive performance of DARA with the song “Banagaranga”.
The evening was characterized by a fierce and extremely strong competition in the classification table, which kept everyone in suspense until the last minutes with a “tooth for tooth” confrontation between Israel and Bulgaria. With this triumph, the next European song festival will be held in Bulgaria next year.
Alis and Rajmonda Bulku, a performance that captured hearts
Albania's representative, Alis, who took the Vienna stage fifth with the ballad "Nân", gave an extraordinary and deeply emotional performance. Accompanied by the master of the stage, the great actress Rajmonda Bulku, the Albanian duo created a magical moment, capturing the hearts of the spectators in the arena, as well as millions of viewers in Albania, Europe and beyond.
How were the votes for Albania divided?
At the end of the vote count, Albania managed to collect a total of 145 points, ranking 13th among the 25 countries that competed in the Final Night. This figure comes as a combination of the evaluation of the professional juries of the participating countries and the votes of the public (the diaspora and European fans).
Out of the juries from 35 countries, the ballad "Nân" was evaluated by 10 of them, collecting 60 points in total, with the maximum evaluation from Portugal standing out.
Points from the Professional Jury for Alicia:
On the other hand, the public vote – which was collected through phone calls, SMS and online voting while the window was open – gave Albania a significant support of 85 points.
Regarding the selection of Albania, our professional jury decided to give its maximum 12 points to Italy's neighbors.
Winning formula and voting system
As every year, the winner was determined by an equal mix of votes from national juries and the viewing public (televoting and online platforms). Initially, the juries from each country awarded points to their favorite acts on a scale of 1 to 12. The show's presenters were connected directly to the spokespersons of the 35 participating countries, who announced live which country received the coveted 12 points.
The entire picture of the competition was overturned and finalized only at the dramatic moment when the public vote block was added for each country, a system that ultimately separated Bulgaria from Israel and crowned DARA as the new queen of Eurovision.
