Ervin Salianji has stated that the elections in the DP branches were not real competitions, but manipulated processes.
In a direct connection with the "Off the Record" studio by Andrea Danglli, on A2CNN, he stated that "election farces" have been carried out in many branches.
According to Salianj, there have been unfair exclusions from the race and restrictions on voting rights for certain members, even though they have been active members of the party structures. He stressed that in some cases candidates have been pre-selected, making the process non-competitive.
"There have been farces in the branches, it's clear to me. There have been farces in the branches of the Democratic Party. People have come out, they have reacted, they have said: why did I leave the race, why do I not have the right to vote, when I am part of the re-establishment, when I am in the photos of the stadium as part of the re-establishment? ", said Salianji.
"Why does this happen in all branches? What are the reasons why one candidate and not another is selected as the candidate? And what is most important, in principle, branch chairmen should be elected after the party chairman is elected. Branch chairmen cannot be elected once and then the general chairman. What sense does it make then? ", he said.
