Damian Gjiknuri has been chosen by Prime Minister Edi Rama as the political leader of Tirana. The MP and former minister, who is now identified among the Socialists as the "earthquake man", was brought to the capital due to the Socialists' great need for reorganization in Albania's largest region.
Tirana is divided into 32 electoral zones and in the proceedings of the National Assembly it was decided to have 2-3 deputies delegated for each unit and electoral zone of the district, reports newsbomb.al.
Secretary Blendi Klosi, at the start of the Assembly, in the analysis of the electoral results, described Tirana as "the largest reservoir of votes for the Socialist Party", which is why this strong, forced organization took place in the capital.
Add to this the difficult and unprecedented situation with the Municipality of Tirana, where Mayor Erion Veliaj is under arrest and is leading from a cell.
The task of representing the Socialists in the capital has also been given to MPs Anila Denaj and Elisa Spiropali, who have been assigned to lead Unit 13, with the Bërzhitë and Farkë zones, respectively, while Olta Xhaçka will be in charge of Ndroq.
Even in the reporting of the figures made by the Secretary General, Blendi Klosi, it was evident to the socialists that Kavaja "was lost because of their fault."
Meanwhile, the changes have also affected the Kukës Region, where Eduard Shalesi has left as political leader, being delegated to a unit in Tirana, after he was unable to transform the north into a bastion of the left in the last elections.
