The United States Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle, has reacted through a post on the social network X following the reporting of her meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana.
In her message, Guilfoyle emphasized the importance of the visit and the agreement reached in the field of energy: “I was honored to travel to Tirana to advance the US President’s energy agenda and to join Prime Minister Edi Rama at the signing ceremony of a historic agreement between Albania, Venture Global and Aktor LNG USA for a 20-year contract for American liquefied natural gas.”

She announced that the agreement, which is worth $6 billion, aims to strengthen energy and national security throughout the region. “This $6 billion commitment strengthens energy security, and national security, throughout the region,” she said.
The Ambassador also praised the contribution of American officials to this initiative, mentioning the work of Doug Burgum and Chris Wright, as well as the National Council for Energy Dominance.
