"Many people who were previously hesitant will leave the country,"

Adriatik Lapaj, host of “Shqipëria Bëhet”, invited to the show “Të Paekspozuarit” on MCN TV, stated that May 11 had the potential to mark a turning point for the country, but that opportunity was not used. He warned that the consequences of this date are encouraging citizens to leave the country and are strengthening a culture of abuse of power.

Lapaj took as a reference today's clashes in Jalë between residents and IKMT to demolish several constructions on the coast, which were tolerated before May 11.

"May 11 is a day that, as I have emphasized before, could have marked the division between two eras. But, unfortunately, this did not fully happen. Everything I said, I still support today. I stand by those words, because I believed them and consider them true.

After what happened on May 11, I am convinced that many people who were previously hesitant about staying or leaving this country will now leave. This is a truth that my recent meetings with citizens prove to be an undeniable fact.

Secondly, did you see for yourself what happened in Jalë today? You saw everything. There were no injuries, but there was tension, there was revolt. Anger gathered from those who have worked honestly, who have sweated for this country and who today feel betrayed.

I have said that on May 12 and beyond, if you support those who acted like on May 11, you will only give them the wrong signal. They will become even more savage. They will say: "It's okay, thief, because they will still vote for you. Ruin whatever you want, they will still vote for you. Leave them without medicine in hospitals, they will still vote for you."

This is a great truth that I have said and will continue to say. Time will tell, if this government continues for another four years, it will prove me right every day, Mr. Rakipi.

Because every day, these people will become more aggressive, more ruthless than they were before May 11th.

Yes, because the way they came to power is clear: when you buy votes, the consequences are severe. And here we are.

We say we are "ok", but in reality we are facing a great disease that has gripped the country, an evil that cannot be put into words.

"When I sell my vote, I have lost control. And the one who buys it no longer has any obligation towards me. On the contrary, he will oppress me, he will steal from me even more, so that next time he can buy it again," said Lapaj.
